Introduction I thought it would be either cathartic to me in some way and informative to others that maybe affected by what I had or just Cancer in general. I often get asked "how did I notice?" or "what happened?" so I put pen to paper as its been almost a year since this journey started. That and the fact if you are reading this you may have found it through my Macmillan fundraising page and I want to throw more info at you to convince you why you should part with your hard earned cash to support this wonderful charity .... queue the violins 😁 I will be honest and factual, I'm am aware this maybe hard for some to read and may be a trigger. I'll try to be my upbeat self but where there may be humor (this is how I deal with things...everyone has their own way) there will be at times emotional areas to cover. I have split my journey up to now in to 2 parts. Its a lot to read even at this and I...

My Rotator Cuff Said, 'Hold My Ice Pack!' Hey everyone, I couldn't wait to share some fantastic news with you all! A space where I can spill all the details about my journey toward conquering the Tough Mudder challenge and raising funds for a cause close to my heart. Why a Blog? Well, here's the thing: the updates on my JustGiving fundraising page are a bit like a tweet from a verbose tweeter (guilty as charged!). With a cap of 500 characters, I found myself needing more space to express the triumphs, trials, and everything in between. The Backstory: Cancer, Recovery, and Rotator Cuff Shenanigans Last year threw a curveball at me in the form of a cancer diagnosis. While I've managed to kick cancer to the curb (yay!), the aftermath left me with a significant loss of muscle mass. Now, I'm on a mission to rebuild and redefine my strength, starting with the recovery of a partially torn rotator cuff. Oh, the joys of aging an...
